The Public Expenditure and Accountability Programme (PEFA) has just launched a new supplementary framework for assessing gender responsive budgeting and we were delighted to support the initiative. Thank you PEFA for the acknowledgement too!
The framework is intended to be optional and has been tested in seven countries and includes 9 key indicators across the budget cycle which can be applied at national and subnational levels. We encourage governments around the world to test themselves and see how they measure up in taking into account gender equality in their policy making and budget and resource allocation processes. https://pefa.org/news/pefa-launches-supplementary-framework-assessing-gender-responsive-public-financial-management
